What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture uses safe, disposable and sterile one-use needles to stimulate energy (Qi) over 600 points along twelve main channels and eight secondary channels.
When the energy in these channels becomes imbalanced, the body is unable to perform to its maximum capability.
How can Acupuncture help you?
By needling points selected specifically for your symptoms, acupuncture realigns the energy to alleviate pain and restore vitality. This can help with many imbalances in the body which can manifest as pain and inflammation, raising further issues.
What health conditions is Acupuncture useful for?
Acupuncture may be able to assist with the following health concerns:
- Lower back pain
- Shoulder and neck pain (frozen shoulder, tennis elbow)
- Osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and sciatica
- Headaches and migraines
- Difficulty sleeping
- Nervous tension
- Addictions (eg smoking)
- Sporting injuries (sprained ankles and knees)
Acupuncture for women’s health and fertility
Acupuncture can be helpful in the management of PCOS, endometriosis, irregular menstrual cycle and menstrual flow and painful period.
Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine can also be used during and after pregnancy to assist with morning sickness, fear of miscarriage, lower back pain, fatigue and lack of breast milk.
Premenstrual tension (PMS), painful, heavy, irregular, or the absence of periods, abnormal uterine bleeding/discharge, hormonal imbalances, menopause, fertility and pre/postnatal support.
Acupuncture for Assisted Reproductive Technology (IVF)
Scientific research has shown the success of Assisted Reproductive Technology (such as IVF) may be improved by using acupuncture before and after embryo transfer.
Acupuncture helps to increase blood flow to the reproductive organs, reducing stress and balancing the endocrine system.
